UCC CTG is committed to conducting clinical trials in a responsible and effective manner. Our governance framework ensures that our trials are conducted ethically, safely, and efficiently, while our management team ensures that our operations are aligned with our mission to improve patient outcomes.
Governance Board
The UCC Cancer Trials Group Governance Board oversees all elements of the work conducted and planned by the Group and directs UCC CTG activities in accordance with HRB, UCC and HSE Research Strategy.
Membership includes the Group Clinical Lead, Co-Lead Applicant/CRF-UCC representative, Site Leads and representation from UCC Research Support Services and the Health Service Executive (HSE) South/Southwest Hospital Group
Scientific Advisory
Board
Our Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) meets annually to provide strategic guidance and direction for the Group. Its members include national and international experts in the conduct of patient-focused research, patient advocates and local stakeholders. The SAB considers established regulatory standards and national/international bench-marking in its review of UCC CTG activities.
Executive Team
The UCC Cancer Trials Group Executive Team meets quarterly to discuss progress and review/set strategies of the Group infrastructure. This team includes the Group’s Director/Clinical Lead, Project Manager, Site directors and Managers from each Clinical Trials Unit, and representation from the HRB Clinical Research Facility-UCC.
