Current Vacancies

Role: CUH/UCC Cancer Centre Programme Manager

Location: Cork University Hospital Cork

Salary: €85,00 per annum

Closing date: Tuesday 25th March 2025

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Research Coordinator will work closely with the CUH/UCC Cancer Centre team and wider management team to ensure all operational, administrative, and compliance functions within the centre are being properly executed in accordance to best practices. This will include the following duties:

  • Support and drive the implementation of the CUH/UCC Cancer Centre Strategy, working across CUH and UCC to translate strategic goals into progressive, robust processes that deliver the Cancer Centre vision and mission.
  • Set up and support Cancer Centre Program Office and subsequent processes.
  • Develop proposals and business cases to enable delivery of the strategy.
  • Seek funding opportunities to enable progress on strategic goals, supporting and leading on national and international grant applications and manage activity and reporting on these as required.
  • Support the implementation of the OECI Quality Improvement Plan to successfully deliver and maintain accreditation.
  • Aligned with the goals of Sláintecare, enable the development of a robust South-West Regional Cancer Network to coordinate cohesive regional cancer care pathways.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • A PhD or postgraduate degree in healthcare management, public health, business administration or a related field.
  • At least 5-10 years’ experience in healthcare, hospital, academic or business setting, ideally within oncology or cancer care programmes.
  • Excellent programme management skills and a demonstrated track record of managing multiple projects with evidence of good management practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively with staff, students and stakeholders.
